Dear ENG L207 Class:
Thursday's class will be held in the Lilly Library (across from the Showalter Fountain), where Rebecca Cape will introduce us to the Library's holdings and to our "collection" of rare texts by lesser-known women writers. This semester, you will have the opportunity to explore this collection and select one or more of their texts to be the basis of some short problem-solving exercises and a longer investigative paper. For a sneak preview, see our "Assignments and Projects" page, where the assignment sheets will be posted later today!
Please bring your IU identification card, pencil and paper (or a laptop). We will not be permitted to bring folders, binders, or bags into the reading room; however, there will be lockers available for safely storing those and other personal items. Please also bring the assignment sheet for Critical Essay #1, so that you can ask any questions.
